3D TV. Something for everyone
New three dimensional televisions have been able to bring this exciting innovation in film entertainment right into our living rooms.
Films such as Avatar and Toy Story 3 have been two of the most successful movies to be brought out in this format, which now does not require you to go to the cinema to admire.
Wide camera shots of large complex landscapes take on a new meaning when watched with a 3DTV which is also capable of high definition viewing.
The depth of the picture and the feeling of characters and objects coming towards you, brings a whole new dimension of entertainment to film fans who want to enjoy this experience at home.
However it’s not only film buffs who can revel in this new technology, which is becoming more accessible by the day.
Sports fans can now watch their favourite football and rugby teams in 3D, with Sky Sports providing a number of games every week in this format, in a number of different sports.
Watching a football match in 3D gives a new depth to the picture which allows you to judge how much closer one player is to another.
Sometimes on a standard 2DTV it can be hard to judge which way the ball is heading due to certain camera angles.
This is not a problem with 3DTV, as although the camera angles are similar, the 3D technology means you are able to judge which direction the ball is heading and whether it’s going in to score that vital goal for your team.
Not a sports fan then? Well more and more TV shows and documentaries are coming up on our screens as 3D channels become more accessible. So even if you mostly enjoy comedy acts such as Reeves and Mortimer in 2D now, there’s sure to be Vic and Bob in 3D in the future.
So with a 3DTV there really is something for everyone, whether you love movies, sports or just good entertainment.
