Whole Health Healing: If Modern Medicine Only Knew About This Book

April 29th, 2011 No comments

Whole health healing is what most people are desiring in regards to ant-aging, longevity, optimum health and having more quality of life. The concept of talking optimum care of one’s health is a tremendous honor to God and is Biblically based as seen in 1st Corinthians 6:19,20 “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.”

Most people mistakenly believe that if they have a pain they can take an aspirin, feel better, and then be healthy. Some mistakenly believe that if they are ill with an infection, they can take a prescription medication like an antibiotic, feel better, and then be healthy. Even worse, many people believe that by going to their doctor and getting the standard tests like cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar, and tread mill tests, they are staying healthy. If you are one of these people, you’ve got a lot to learn.

But understand that – aspirin, prescription medications like antibiotics, and standard medical tests are also a gift from God, and they have their benefits and proper uses; it’s their abuse that you must be warned about. There are a lot of abuses of these things, namely that many people mistakenly believe these typical medical practices are all there is for health. There is a whole lot more. Pun intended!

But real health comes from within, it’s inborn, it always has been and always will be. For example, pain pills may be necessary at times, but they only cover the pain, they do not in any way address the source of the pain. Leave the source alone, and one is likely to get the pain again. Prescription medications like antibiotics may be necessary at times, but they only kill bacteria not viruses, and nearly all infections (colds and flus) are viral. In addition, antibiotics likely harm the normal, natural bacteria that one needs for digestion and other vital functions. Also, those standard medical tests mentioned above may catch developing problems early, and that’s good, but the truth is that these are really early detection tests, not real prevention. By the time something wrong is detected, you’ve already got the problem.

So what else is there? What can a person do to attain and then maintain optimum health? Adopt a whole health healing lifestyle, that’s what! It involves accepting and enhancing the entire person, not only the physical but the mental and spiritual also. The book called Whole Health Healing – The Budget Friendly Natural Wellness Bible for All Ages addresses all of that. The book starts out clearly and concisely defining what real health is, and then covers easy-to-implement, practical procedures and tips to not only obtain optimum real health, but also to maintain it with real preventive measures. It also includes specific natural solutions for over 40 common ailments like fibromyalgia, headaches, menstrual problems and prostate difficulties. I couldn’t resist adding chapters called Talking to Your Doctor, Raising Healthier Children, and even Growing Older. This book belongs in everybody’s home!

The author, Dr Tom Potisk, is known as The “Down-to-Earth” doctor because of his personal holistic lifestyle and conversational style of teaching. He poured all his best experiences from practicing as a busy alternative medicine family doctor for 25 years into this book. Then he laced it with secrets from his family’s own exceptional health before sprinkling it with observations of the health in the foreign cultures he observed during his world travels. Sounds kind of like a recipe doesn’t it? Well, he’s got his favorite healthy eating recipes in the book also!

The best news is that getting and keeping this optimum real health is not all that difficult. It will take some changes in your lifestyle, and challenge what you’ve been led to believe about health, but any effort on holistic recommendations will be worthwhile.

There are dozens of simple yet helpful tactics in the book like starting every morning by drinking a glass of hot water with the juice of ½ lemon –it detoxifies the liver! And you’ll want to know the 5 most dangerous exercises and their safer alternatives. There are 6 tips for getting better sleep naturally, and an abbreviated Yoga routine Dr Potisk devised called The Healing Stretch. These are just a few examples of the many real health enhancing, life changing tactics.

One reader said “It’s as if Dr Potisk is talking directly to me!” and another said “This is the answer to the health care crisis!” Another comment is this one: “I rarely buy books about health after being let down by several that I found to be over-hyped and written by either celebrities or medical “defectors” with little holistic health training. But upon a recommendation of a friend, I bought Dr Potisk’s book and was blown away at his ability to write in a conversational style I can understand and with information I can put to use right now. I’ve already lost 35 pounds by just following a few of his simple suggestions. It’s easy to recognize his training and experience with the subject, and I love all the little stories he uses from his experiences in his practice, his own family, and his travels to remote places. I’m now getting my wife and child on this new healthy path Dr Potisk makes so easy to follow.”

Okay , what’s keeping you from optimum health?

You can purchase Dr Potisk’s Whole Health Healing holistic health book on his website www.wholehealthhealing.com, or by calling 1-800-408-4090. At his website he also offers some free reports on How to Make the Healing Salad, How to Get Control of Your Child’s Electronic Gaming, How to Avoid the 5 Most Dangerous Exercises, and How to Check Yourself and Your Family For Spinal Structural Misalignments.

Two Well Written Ebooks For You To Download: This Month’s Pick

April 20th, 2011 No comments

There are many things that go together to make a good book! For me the book has to have a story that is going somewhere, and must be well written. regrettably with the advent of the Electronic book, and self publishing there has been a decline in the quality control element which traditional publishing houses used to sort out the ‘wheat from the chaff.’ In the past would be writers trawled the literary Agents to get a deal on their novel, and in the main were collectors of reject letters. As a result we only used to see the tip of the iceberg, and not the thousands of hopefuls who in the end where forced to either bin their dreams or write yet another book and begin again.

The upside of today’s market is that amongst a lot of poorly written material there is a definite emergence of a new type of writer;the EBook writer, that probably should have got through in the past but was never given the chance. Here are some Ebooks that I recommend for you to have a look at.

John Tallon Jones’s book September Blue is a story set in the 70’s and takes the reader back to a time before the internet and the mobile phone! A time when British youth culture was moving away from its hippie traditions and a new animal was emerging in their wake; This is the time of the ‘punk’ revolution and the book’s hero Dai Davies finds himself caught up in the disorder that surrounds any revolution. September Blue is a brilliantly funny and ironic look at how not to go about ‘making it’ and tracks the lives of a group of musicians on their way to stardom? Or the dole queue? A definite must of a read and I give it five stars.

The Golden Acorn by Catherin Cooper is a hugely entertaining and exciting tale which deservedly won the Brit Writers award 2010 for unpublished writers. This is a fantasy book written for children (of all ages) and has witches, dragons, magic rituals and many other things to keep the young reader interested. There is a flight back to Roman Britain which gives an Historical insight into Roman life which for me was one of the best things about the book. A brief story outline: when the protagonist of the tale Jack Brenin finds a golden acorn lying in the grass, little does he know that it is the beginning of a thrilling and magical adventure. Just an ordinary boy, Jack has been chosen for a hugely important job , and enters a world he believed only existed in legend. Full of twists and turns, talking ravens and playful ‘Spriggans’ the Golden acorn is a magnificent first novel and I highly recommend that you give this one a try.

So there we have it; two great books for your entertainment this month.

September Blue: Two Reasons Why You Should Not Start This EBook

March 24th, 2011 No comments

The first of these reasons that I learned to my cost was the book’s addictive nature. Because it is a comparatively short read, you find yourself saying ‘just one more page’and then discover you have done nothing else during the day. The second? Well, if like me, you are a grumpy old middle aged man, this book will put a lump in your throat as your memory drifts back to simpler times before the internet and mobile phones.

I have to be candid at this stage and say that I wasn’t really looking forward to reading the book, as I am not a great fan of stories involving ‘pop Culture and all of that ‘on the road’ type thing, but I was more than pleasantly surprised by the freshness the writer has given to the story, which does not follow any old and hackneyed format.

The events take place in the mid to late 70’s and begin at a time just before the arrival of ‘punk’ on the UK music scene. This is a time for change as the old super groups have become detached from their fans and a newer more earthy type a music is about to emerge with a snarl onto the scene. Our hero or should I say anti hero, Dai Thomas has just arrived in London from North Wales on a quest to make himself famous. How he is going to do this remains a mystery to Dai and to the reader until after a string of unlikely and highly amusing events sees him playing bass guitar for one of London’s most unpromising rock band. Like all really bad rock bands in this era he ends up touring Germany, and when he returns to London, to quote from the book, his ‘George Harrison moustache and flairs, have become as obsolete as the twin guitar solo’.

There is no doubt that John Tallon Jones, the author of September Blue can tell a good tale. I suspect that he is also writing from grim experience; in fact, you will not be surprised that he himself hails from North Wales and did the same journey down to the ‘Smoke’. Give this book a read and I don’t think you will be disappointed, especially if you were actually part of the 70’s youth scene either as a punk, a Hippie or just an observer.

The books ends rather abruptly for my liking and leaves you feeling a little cheated and craving for more. But don’t worry because September blue is part of a trilogy tracking the lives of Dai and his brother. I am awaiting the second book with baited breath.

Taking A Rock Jaunt Down Memory Lane

March 18th, 2011 No comments

We never know how the result of our actions today, can have a major impact on our future.I guess if we did then all of our futures would be rosy great, but predictable and boring. And so it was for seventies musician John Tallon Jones. His passion for writing songs didn’t stop there, and for most of the seventies he kept a daily diary of the events happening to him and around him. Over thirty years later he rediscovered those diaries whilst moving house and turned his ramblings into the definitive seventies anthem for the anonymous musician.

The book,September Blue is not about becoming famous, but is more of an anti-fame glimpse into how we grumpy old people used to be. Back in those days it was easy. You and your mates would form a band, buy a van and start to tour. Internet! You must be joking; the highest pieces of technology to hand were the eight track player and the stereo cassette machine which invariable chewed all your tapes up. The Bands played for pennies and spent most of what they earned on fish and chips or vindaloos. It was in this era at the end of the decade, that youth culture in Britain changed from hippie to punk, from loon pants to bondage and from quiet acceptance to violent anarchy. Ok; So in the end it was just a load of hot air that eventually became manipulated into mainstream fashion and music, and of course,In the twenty first century we can look back on it all with a little grin .

But have we become too cynical in our old age? Our children ask us about what it was like, but turn on their play stations while we are telling them the story. The generation gap now haunts us as it did our parents and we wonder how our offspring’s can listen intently to the X factor while we remember laughing at Opportunity knocks and New Faces. Swings and roundabouts I’m afraid. Just console yourself that your children’s children will do the same to them and hope you will be around to see it.

September Blue takes you back to the days of ‘Love thy neighbour’ and the ‘Afghan Jacket.’ It was written for anyone who has ever stood in front of a mirror playing air guitar to his favourite record. To all the Doctors, lawyers, Dentists, Engineers, Van Drivers, Roofers, mechanics, chefs, teachers, social Workers ex prime Minister and general pillars of society who made up the unsung and unsigned Bands of the seventies.

To all who played Smoke on the Water on one string in Music shops on a Saturday mornings. Wore pink loons or Bondage pants or claimed to be able to play a Minor Diminished Scale. This book is yours; it is you: Go back in time for a tongue in cheek trip into seventies youth culture, where Progressive rock gets eaten and spat out by Punk and New wave.

Reading Habbits Nowadays

March 5th, 2011 No comments

Modern society slowly abandon the book and prefer other ways of getting information and spend leisure time. In other words, reading books, scientific magazines is getting more and more unpopular, but it’s not unexpected, bearing in mind many alternatives: TV, internet, films, etc. People are tend to choose what is easier, more comfortable and effortless for them to do. Can we blame them? Of course, no. We live in fast moving world. Everything changes rapidly. People are tired and they want entertainment as soon as they can get it. But on the other hand, it hides some problems.

Nowadays most TV shows, movies have no real value: they are cheap, vulgar and created to shock audience. Many magazines write only about celebrities, their lives and rumors. It’s common to find dummy, false articles on magazines, because that’s the way to gain popularity and earn money. Not to mention many solicited articles in media to influence public opinion. All these things are usual now and they hardly surprise anybody.

Of course, there is always an alternative. You can ignore this float of meaningless information and seek for higher quality readings and information. But the problem is that most of society just don’t do it. Most people just take what they get. Futhermore, they get used to gutter media, they adopt rules of the game and they just see anything wrong anymore. In this way society is becoming easier to operate and manipulate. This could be avoided, if people would select what to read and what not to read, what to watch ant what not to watch. But it’s difficult to achieve without proper education from an early age. Realizing the importance of reading we should promote children’s reading motivation. Child’s approach to the book is highly dependent on its social and cultural environment, and especially the family.

Soo let’s back to reading. We just found out why it is important to read good books and articles. But reading has more advantages. According to researchers, reading relaxes us a lot. It’s more relaxing than walking and watching TV. In contrast, movies involve us in others problems and we cannot rest properly. In my opinion, we all should take some changes. Instead of watching silly movie, we can all take a book and find out something new, something nice and important for us.

21st Century offers a very different reading experience. We no longer need to go to bookstores, libraries to get a book. Today you can buy a electronic book online or even download it for free. What’s more – you can read it not only with your computer, but with ebook reader also. One of the best sites to get is this: free pdf books.

Analysis Of The Stranger By A.Camus

March 3rd, 2011 No comments

Could I not to cry after my mothers death? Could I marry woman, whom I don’t love? Could I kill a man and don’t worry about that? Could I come to terms with the thought that I would be killed soon? The answer is no, because to put in mildly it sounds strange.

“Stranger” is probably the best known Albert Camus novel, published in 1942. Content of the book is something between existentialism, absurdism, determinism, nihilism and stoicism. “Stranger” is written almost as a diary. It helps reader to empathize with protagonist and understand him better.

The first part of the book begins with Meursault’s mother death. However, it brings no emotions to him. He participate in funeral, but rather than showing his feelings, he drinks coffee, smokes cigarette near his dead mother and talk about other guests in funeral. Later, he meet new friends, who are persecuted by arabs. On of them hurts Meursault’s friend. Protagonist wants revenge and unconscious shoots down an arab.

In the second part of the book, Meursault is judged for murder and sentenced to death. However, the protagonist is demonized for things unrelated to the case: he doesn’t cry in his mother funeral, he makes love with his girlfriend next day after the funeral and so on. In other words, people sentenced him not for murder, but for denial of social norms. Meursault despise verdict and wait for execution rather with joy than fear. He is happy for his challenge of fate, he enjoys every moment of his last days.

I think, “Stranger” inspires everyone to think about life from a different angle. At first sight, this book shocks reader, but soon he starts to understand the protagonist better. Denial of social norms no more looks so strange, repugnant. Vice versa, reader can easily start to feel absurdism in his very own life and become stranger to whole world. However, time certified values cannot be totally wrong, can they? Where is the thin line between absurd and social norms? Are our social values right? What is the meaning of our life? How should we live? These and similar questions arise naturally after reading Albert Camus Philosophical novel “Stranger”. In my opinion, there is no answer at all. We live in strange world and we must be philosophical, we must think critically and we must be happy with our existence. We should not blindly accept proposed model of life. That’s what I realized after reading this electronic book. On the other hand, I think everyone who reads this book will find something unique, something which works only for him. But the most important thing is that Albert Camus “Stranger” helps to start thinking your own way, so it is absolutely must for everyone to read.

To sum up, everyone who’s interested in philosophy and doesn’t deny existential questions, should read this work, no matter it’s free pdf books version or real `paper` one. Even if you don’t change your attitude, you will be able to expand horizons widely.

Stop Your Toothache! REVIEW – Simple Toothache Treatments That Work Well

January 31st, 2011 No comments

Few things in everyday life can be as agonizing like toothaches. To be able to understand precisely how agonizing toothaches can be (if you have never experienced one), you would simply need to visit a dentist’s clinic any working time. There you are likely to find a group of people, really sullen – who are prepared to have virtually anything done on them, simply to ease the toothaches.

You will find people that in ordinary circumstances would not think about submitting themselves for tooth extraction for instance, but who- under the motivation of getting gone a toothache – end up actually being eager to get the procedure done! And also you realize that you possess an amazing attention span if you can concentrate on anything having a toothache in the ‘background.’ The majority of us can’t. Cases have been reported of otherwise strong macho men – who’re known never to wince at anything – actually writhing and rolling on the floor with agony under the control of toothaches.

Normally, a toothache is usually the body’s way of suggesting you have a fundamental dental problem that you simply better take of, before it gets beyond control.

Another factor that is famous about toothaches is they have a tendency to strike, having a vengeance, if you find little you can do about this: like in the middle of the night whenever you surely can’t obtain the dentist in the clinic. In a situation such as this, you will know you have to endure the pain till you’re able to the dentist in the morning. As well as when you finally get there, you will know you might have to put up with the pain for up to an hour or so, till your use begin to see the specialist comes. After all, you’ll probably find people in worse agony there: to ensure that within the clinical context, your agony doesn’t seem anymore like an emergency.

All of this points to the need to know about simple toothache treatments which you can use in your own home, as you await to finally begin to see the dentist (because you really should, even if the pain subsides).

One of these simple teeth treatments is clove oil, put on the afflicted tooth and around. It really works better still when mixed with pepper and salt – and applied to the afflicted area directly. Another commonly used teeth treatment methods are garlic, which is by chewing it, whilst placing little bit of it on the afflicted tooth. It might appear too simple, however the truth of the matter is that it works – sometimes so well that you simply the toothache goes away completely.

Closely related to garlic is onion, as one of the most potent – yet commonly underrated toothache treatments to be used in your own home. Again, the concept is to chew it, and placing little bit of it on the afflicted area. It not just numbs the pain sensation, but usually kills the pathogens causing it! If you can think it is, by any luck, the Indian spice known as Asafetida may also be a good toothache treatment, just like be lime juice.

Want To Write A Novel The Straightforward Manner?

December 31st, 2010 No comments

My newest novel has been lounging on my pc for months. I’ve a thousand excuses for not ending it: too busy with different endeavors, writer’s block, my lead character won’t budge, my cat needs food. Oh, sure, I’ve a ton of legit reasons for not finishing my third novel in my Amos Grant mystery series. I really feel angry with myself. But then once more, I do not need my cat to starve. A useless cat in the home is unhealthy for one’s muse.

So I feed the cat and begin to thumb via The Straightforward Means To Write A Novel by Rob Parnell. It is an e-e-book that caught my attention.

“If you’re moderately effectively educated, or even when not, the whole lot you have to write an enduring novel-size piece of fiction is inside you. You already possess the expertise and the mandatory skills. All it’s important to do is entry them.”

This is how Rob Parnell, founder of Straightforward Approach To Write, begins his 179-web page informative e-book. Using psychology and motivational advice, Parnell walks you through his unique process. Extra Zen monk than strict writing trainer, he spends a superb a part of his book instructing you meditation and visualization techniques.

Some could find his holistic approach a bit strange. But treating the entire individual, considering one’s mental and social components as well as the physical act of writing, caught my attention. It differed from the a whole lot of other writing books I have sitting on my bookshelves. It sparked my muse into a new way of writing novels. If I had read Parnell’s e-e book earlier than I struggled by way of my own six novels, I believe the entire course of would have been less painful.

What Rob Parnell does is prepare you to write earlier than he shows you the best way to write your novel in 30 days. (Maybe he ought to have named his e book “The FAST Manner To Write a Novel.”) In any case, I was intrigued by his system. I, especially, enjoyed his putting to rest a few of the myths about writing a novel.

As an illustration, he points out that all artwork (writing included) is subjective. “There’s absolutely no reason to believe that what you create is much less a murals than the rest,” he writes. “If you happen to consider your e book to be a work of art, then that is exactly what it is. Period.”

You need to have an “original concept” is one other phrase you hear quite a bit about. However Parnell factors out that what these know-it-alls really mean is that you need to write something “significantly different.” There isn’t any such factor as an unique idea. I discovered this out when in 1973 I got here out with my “authentic” magazine of reminiscences, Yesterday’s Magazette. Unbeknown to me, others have been having this same “original” thought across the identical exact time. But I still say I came out with it first. :-)

Here is another instance: In 1970, I coined the “authentic” saying of “always anticipate the unexpected.” But the funny factor is that since that point I must have heard my identical “original” expression repeated a million instances or more. Yet another original idea I assumed I had back within the late 70s was to jot down a column of “Oddball News” objects, which I did for just a few years. Now I see there is a very comparable column known as News Of The Bizarre which is now syndicated in hundreds of newspapers.

So imagine me and Rob Parnell after we say, “Do not waste your time agonizing and trying to provide you with some original thought on your book. Do not even try. Just put a twist on an previous idea.”

Parnell recommends writing fast. “In the event you attempt to use your aware logical facet of your mind to write down, you’ll take without end,” he states. “Let your fingers write or type automatically.” In other words, he advises, use your subconscious to write that great novel.

As much as I enjoyed the mindset and motivational strategies within the first half of Parnell’s e book, I have to confess that Half Two about his “30 Day Formula” for writing a novel was equally entertaining and informative. Right off, he tells you that you simply want CHARACTERS before something else. He says without fascinating characters, there may be simply no story.

He guides you thru each day. He even designs a ten step plot template and explains how setting ought to finest be seen as one other character to define. He then goes on to checklist the ten fundamental errors that writers should avoid. Lastly, like an excellent coach, he’s there to nudge and push you alongside and to encourage you. “You’re all the time nearer to success than you assume!”

I admit Rob Parnell’s e-e book, The Easy Manner To Write a Novel, acquired my motor running. In truth, I’ve decided to spend the rest of the day engaged on my novel. After all, November is National Novel Writing Month. What higher time to finish a novel. I feel really pumped! My thoughts is racing with ideas. My fingers are a twitter. I’m smokin’!
